The 12th edition of the Rainbow Hall of Fame Award (RAHFA) took place in Lagos on the 28th of March, celebrating excellence across diverse fields.
Mr Niyi Johnson Omogbenigun, Chief Executive Officer of Rainbow Global Events and Magazine, said in his welcome address that his team’s resilience and successes were inspired by God and the daily support of hardworking, talented Nigerians, some of whom were also among the evening’s awardees.
A major highlight was the recognition of Commander ACC John Onoja Attah of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC). Attah, who leads the Mining Marshal—a federal initiative under the Ministry of Steel and Solid Minerals to diversify the economy beyond oil—received two awards: Man of the Year and Exemplary Leadership.
He was represented by Superintendent of Corps Oluwaseun Abolurin, the NSCDC Lagos Command Public Relations Officer. The awards were presented by Barrister Morufu Ajani Animashaun Esq.
Animashaun, who was himself named Outstanding Supportive Legal Officer of the Year, told journalists:Â “I feel excited to be one of the recipients. My advice to the organisers is that they should be proactive in their investigative journalism because it showcases the calibre of people they are giving awards to. Their diligent investigation to know worthy individuals gives them credence. You cannot give an award to a tout who has no onions of talent or education to represent an intellectual honour. They do their due diligence.”
Other honourees included Prophet Godwin Ikuru (Outstanding Supportive Prophet of the Year), AIG Okunade Ronke Nurat (Rainbow Woman of the Year 2026), Biodun Adeniyi Adegeye (Outstanding Dynamic Artiste), Angela Nwangwa (Mother Daughter West Africa), Aliu Oluwaseun Adetunji (Most Trusted Travels and Tours Agent), and Commissioner of Police Saadat Ismail (Most Impactful Police Officer of the Year).
