UN-PAF Partner with IMF Philippine for Agricultural Development

The United Nations Peace Ambassadors Foundation (UN-PAF) has formalised a partnership with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Philippine,  to fund a new agricultural development project in the Republic of Benin. The agreement was reached during a virtual meeting on Wednesday, 3oth April 2025, where both parties committed to supporting sustainable agriculture in the West African nation.

Under the agreement, UN-PAF made an entry payment of $3,510 to activate the release of project funding by the IMF Philippine. Fro discussions made, once payment is confirmed, the IMF is expected to disburse the funds within 30 days. The initiative will focus on improving agricultural productivity, supporting rural livelihoods, and promoting food security in Benin.

Leading the discussions were HRH Princess Jonah Alisna Seneca, CEO of IMF Philippine, and Ambassador Henry Dela Cruz, the General Secretary. Representing UN-PAF were its Chairman, H.E. Amb. Dr. Kingsley Chimdi Ossai, along with Ambassadors Paolo Bragagna and Spano Angelo.

The agreement outlines clear responsibilities and timelines for each party and is binding. Any breach of its terms could result in legal and administrative consequences. Both organisations reaffirmed their commitment to working together to ensure the success of the project, which is seen as a step forward in driving sustainable development in Africa.
